What if I’ve never paddled before?
Not a problem, Standup for the Cure is meant for beginners. Our Professionals offer instruction and tips all day long.
Do I need my own Board?
If you have a board, bring it. If not, one of our partners will have boards on hand to rent or borrow.
Should I rent or Demo Boards?
That depends on your needs. If you want control of a board for the entire day, I would rent. See list on Registration page posted above. If you want to dabble and 20 minutes here and there work for you, then we have plenty of loaner boards on site to share
What is the “Sea of Pink”?
The Sea of Pink is our special parade honoring our survivors. After our opening ceremony, we take time to get everyone on the water to honor our Survivors. Once we have everyone on the water, the horn will sound to begin the race. No need to sign up for the 2.5 k or 5k race. It’s optional. 1 lap for beginners, no finish line. Just return to beach and enjoy music and Happy Hour. For the more experienced paddler, head out for a second lap and finish through the chute on the beach. Please attend the briefing at the main stage at roughly 9:30 am-9:45 am for full instructions.
What is the Survivor Relay?
The Top 6 Fundraising Teams earn a spot for 4 team mates to compete in the Survivor Relay. Each paddler completes a 1000 meter triangle course with the entire team finishing through the chute to claim their glory.
